Walter Payton had 339 carries for 1,852 yards and scored 16 touchdowns in 14 games in 1977. He was selected to play in his second Pro Bowl. He won his first Offensive Player of the Year award, his first MVP award and the Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year award.
